Space Hombre - Space Junk Jam

Post by dstroud »

Here’s my new Space Hombre video for my tune Space Junk Jam. Using my ESP GH-200>Boss SD-1>Blankenship 50w plexi>Ho attenuator>Jet City Iso cab. Wah is the mini cry baby, I think it’s a really great wah. Hope you enjoy it!!

Great song with amazing tone and playing, man. One of my favorites so far.

I need to look into the Ho attenuator. Is it the same thing as the Ultimate Attenuator?

thanks man!! Let me give you the rundown on the Ho lololol So I got one from Ho like 15 years age, in like a silver generic box. I immediately loved it. did some a/b recordings with it vs my plexi wide open, it sounded 95% the same. The ho does lose a tad lowend, but turning up the bass on the amp just a notch fixed that. used that thing for like 15 years, couple hours a day never an issue. about 6 months ago the fan stopped working, I got it to my amp tech to fix and while I was waiting I bought a new Ultimate Attenuator. It did sound good, but it’s a bit more hifi than my silver one. I did pick up a 2nd silver one on reverb for like $250, it sounds just like my 1st silver one. so I would probably try and find a used silver one with the plexi switch. the plexi switch keeps the high end in tact. The Ultimate does sound good, but not as transparent as the silver ones to my ears. oh and I think Ho went out of business during Covid. I tried to contact him to fix mind and all his contact info doesn’t work. hope all this is useful!
