Hi everybody!
I'm 41 years old, been playing for around 28 years but up until about 3-4 years ago I had been handling my guitars very little for the last 4-5 years. All of a sudden I got my interest back big time and started sucking up any and all information about guitar gear and even about building guitars. From never having been all that interested in gear or any of the technical side of things to really going into it all. Well, one thing led to another and for the past year I've been aquiring the neccessary gear to build myself a Wet/Dry/Wet rig.
So far I've aquired a second Hughes & Kettner Vortex Black Series 100W head (solid state) with its belonging 4X12. I have had one of those since around 2001 and when I began thinking about a W/D/W rig I came across a second one and bought it very cheap. These two will function as my stereo wet part of the rig.
I have also bought an Orange TH30 that together with a Victory V4 Kraken preamp pedal will form the main amp (Dry rig).
In terms of pedals I so far have a Green Russian Big Muff, a Vortex Flanger, a Boss DD-500 digital delay and a CryBaby. I plan on getting the Boss RV-500, Boss MD-500 and the Boss RC-500 as well. And to control it all I plan to get either a Boss ES-8 Effect Switching System or an RJM Mastermind PBC/6X, but I haven't decided yet.
The guitars I have are: A black 2001 Epiphone Les Paul Studio (Korean made) that I have modified quite a bit (Seymour Duncan pickups, Babicz FCH Tune-O-Matic, Duesenber Les Trem II, Schaller Locking Tuners, all the wireing and every piece of hardware that can be removed have been changed, all in gold). + A brand new Iced Tea Epiphone Les Paul 60's Standard.
Anyway, I still have questions so that's why I came here and I hope I can find the answers I seek.
