Ok I bought this awhile ago cause it was local and the it was missing the badges and other things AND the previous owner removed, or tried to, the Eddie Van Halen signature in the front of the amp. It’s partially removed. There is also a signature on the back tube holder that is also removed. But you can clearly see the imprint of the signature in the right lighting. Point being, you his is 100% a US Peavey 5150. I put the badges back on. This also does have a bias mod and whatver repairs were done to the amp were done a real pro. The work is clean. I think some filter caps were replaced and a few other things. But I looked it over pretty thoroughly and compared with my 6505 and it’s stock besides the bias. I have it set at 25mv per tube. It really is a great sounding head. I just didn’t need it. I bought it with the idea of flipping for a profit but I just don’t care. After shipping I’m literally gonna clear maybe $75 than what I paid. But I did add the badges and front panel, so yeah, a little for my effort is fair! So I’m giving my best “bro” price on here as prices on these are still elevated.
Not the best pics but it looks about what a 15-20 year old amp looks like. Also I’m not sure on the year, I’m guessing early 2000s but it may be older. All the boards circuit boards are just marked with the patent and year. And indeed this is all 5150.
Again $875 shipped in the US.. Local or reasonably close pickup is also an option. Not sure what I’d come down to but maybe $800ish depending on if I need to meet halfway or sumthin.
I can get a few more pics if need be. But it looks like a good “standard” 20 year old 5150. These are just a few I snapped at the shop as I have it in there. But I know he’s asking $1200! Hah. I said get whatver you want. I want $900, but I’m willing to just take $800 here.
