The first time playing with a rig like that is almost disorienting Its a addictive setup in a way, but it obviously doesn't work for everything.
But I could make an attempt to make it work for everything

Yeah it's hard to use that on the club level. Not so much because of the volume, the 5150 has a good master, but unless you have your own soundguy, it will be nearly impossible to get the right amount of w/d/w in the FOH every time.
I had a similar rig in the early 00s using a DSL for dry and a Marshall 9005 Stereo Power amp for the wet cabs. I had it setup just so all the soundguy had to do was put the 3 channels at the same volume and make sure the channels were phase corrected. I played about 15-20 gigs with it and it sounded right twice: one show at the Rainbow, because the guitars were not mic'd at all so I just dial the rig to fill the room, that was the best. And one show at The Roxy, because we were opening for LA Guns and his soundguy offered to do our sound and he was awesome, he was really excited about the rig lol
But every other time, it was fucked up in the FOH. So eventually I gave up and switched back to a mono rig.

That is such an incredibly critical aspect of a rig like that. You need someone who is onboard, and unfortunately, as big as musicians egos can be, sound guys can be much worse, which is also funny because a lot of them are not particularly good. They've got the whole world in their hands...

yeah my experience with soundguys is generally speaking the smaller the venue, the bigger the ego. We've played shows at venues like the Roxy or House of Blues and it was always great. It's when we do a gig in a sports bar in Buttfucktown, USA that we get the guys with God complex.
