Incoming revstar rsp20 day!

Fuck knows why, I don't think I've even picked up a guitar in the last 12 months :idk:

It's this model and colour, but not the exact one, it's used but it looks spotless

I played a RevStar at EQD Day at their headquarters and loved it. I think you’re gonna enjoy it, man! HN incoming GD!

That's a good endorsement billy. This one is the MIJ version, i sold a LP standard for this, so I'm hoping the quality is decent

Oh even better! It's going to be killer. Mine was an Indonesian model and it hung with my Gibsons without any issues.

I had a green Revstar with the trapeze bridge (or whatever it's called). Anyway, another one of those "wish I hadn't sold it" situations. The neck and fretboard were damn near perfect. I hope you enjoy it!

I ended up selling both of my RSP20CR guitars... Not because they aren't good, they are actually quite nice! I just found myself playing my SGs more. So I figured I would just let them go. The SGs have really spoiled me, but you can understand that feeling.

I haven't played the new version they designed, but I could see how they would be excellent. I am eager to hear your thoughts after you receive it!

I'm surprised that you sold yours Cole, I came close to to buying one of those on a couple of occasions. The new one just arrived, (I hadn't tried this updated version either).

1st quick impression is that it is really well made, a little bit wider in the body compared to the sg, not as wide as a LP, but similar to the sg neck-wise, very comfortable slim body shape. I definitely prefer having a bridge and tailpiece to the original revstar. I haven't cranked it yet.

I bought used but it's almost spotless, it definitely needs a good set up, so I'll bring it to my guy next week. I'm pretty sure it's a keeper though.

I have several guitars, and I just found that the Revstars didn't get played very often. That doesn't discount that they are incredible guitars. The balance and build were fantastic, and the sound was really cool too. In the end, I just ultimately loved playing my Yamaha SGs more. I snagged one of those 1802 models and it has been one of, if not, my favorite of the SG models. It might possibly have taken the number 1 spot over my SG-1000...

I am happy you got yourself one. They really are fantastic guitars! I can't wait to hear more updates! Especially after you get it setup and can crank it!

Wow, congrats on the 1802, they do look great. Yeah, I can't see my SG's being replaced as no.1. I'll update once it's set up.

Thanks! The 1802 is a beast of a guitar, but really all the SGs are. I currently have 4 SGs... My original 1000, a set neck 1500, a 1200, and the 1802. While the RSP20CR models were quite nice, they just ended up not being played as much as the the SGs. I know if I had not owned the SGs, I would still have both the RSP models.

Congrats on your purchase! I know you will love it!

Cole
