Rick Beato posted a vid of himself digitizing old cassettes of his high school band. Well, call me impressed because, they're REALLY FUCKING GOOD!!!!!

Check out the look on Rick's face while he's listening to the transfer! LOL!!! Sorry but, I have a new respect for Beato.

Have the words "Rick Beato" and "cool" ever been used together in the same sentence? I think Rick is a bit goofy but he seems to mean well and he is a helluva musician, there is no disputing that.

My favorite thing about Rick is the over the top facial expressions and head shakes he does when listening to other musicians. However, his protege, Rhett Schull, is closing on him fast.

Here is Rhett doing a great head shake but he gets extra points for throwing in the stink face, proving his worth as a guitar YouTuber extraordinaire. The stink face starts in quickly, at around the 15 second mark. The man is a pro.



However, this video by Rick kicks it up a notch, as Rick demonstrates the head shake, the stink face, the shocked face, the WTF face, and some that have yet to be identified. He's the king. Seventeen minutes of showing suckas how its done, son.

Beato is cool. He's in the YT personality business so he needs to keep coming up with content constantly, which is not easy, so a lot of his videos are gratuitous and clickbaity. I don't blame him though, because it comes with the territory. But he has a lot of legit good videos and he certainly knows his shit both as a player and as a producer.

Rick Beato is awesome. Dude has forgotten more about music than most of us will ever know.

I really dig his “what makes this song great” videos. He always points out things I’d never heard before in songs that I’ve listened to hundreds of thousands of times, and after his video, I can never NOT hear those things again.

I also liked his high school punk band.
