Saw the Gaslight Anthem in Detroit last night.
My best friend was in town for his 40th birthday so we went to see his favorite band. It helps that I’m a fan too (not as much as he is). They played a good set. A lot off Handwritten and Get Hurt. A good amount of the 59 Sound too. They sounded excellent. A lot of good gear on stage too. Brian alternated between two Strats all night and was running an AC30 and a Morgan of some kind, I think. Alex Rosamilia was mostly on LP Custom through a Silverface Deluxe and JMP Combo. Not sure if it was a vintage Deluxe or newer CDR but his clean and ambient stuff sounded gorgeous. I think Ian Perkins had a JMP combo on stage too. He was on his 335 most of the night. Great show, great tones and a good way to celebrate my friend’s 40th.

+ is a bit less angry, like maybe a 35 year old man angry.
