Man I can’t believe how much a good mic pre’s can really get a direct tone “there”. No post eq or fuckery. Just what the pre imparts going in. Pretty eye opening for me on how subtle color inherent to the build makes an impact.

That was interesting to watch. They all sound really good. I like the BAE and CAPI VP26 the best in the demo.

Yeah I liked the Chandlers and regular capi’s

The Chandler seemed to serve some sounds better than the others, where I felt the regular CAPI worked on all the sources well. They all sound really good though!
