New midi controller day. I was looking for a small midi controller keyboard to supplement my Triton. for controlling soft synths It had to have knobs and had to be no more then 7-8" in depth.
I was looking at the Akai MPK Mini MKII, M-Audio Axiom Air Mini 32, and the Alesis V25.
I went down to GC to scope them out. The Akai felt like a toy and they didn't have the Axiom, but figured the mini keys would suck. Took a chance on the Alesis, because they didn't have one on display. Very happy with it. It's class compliant and Reaper saw it right away. The full size keys feel great and the build seems solid. Plus it just fits the small space left on my desk.
