I want a George Fisher children's show. I want him to wear a nice cardigan and comfortable loafers, and, I dunno, maybe teach a little art lesson every day. Something for everyone, you know? Making crazy pipe-cleaner animals, play-doh bulldozers, and paper air-planes that look like bugs, or little crayon drawings of turkeys. And, mindful of the quiet elitist class warfare that is owning any art materials to begin with, always has a fun imagination game to play, and a little song to sing for the day.
Play it straight. No winking, no Cannibal Corpse references. Just George, playing it cool and teaching the kids something good, something fun, five days a week. He's got a daughter, I'm sure he knows how to do a legit job of being cool to kids. Laura Peasants gets to be the Postwoman, whom at the beginning of every episode, delivers George what he'll be using for the day.
But Kirk Windstein does get to play Santa.
Music by Devin Townsend, but only if it's recorded by the Strapping Young Lad band lineup. Otherwise, eh... Mark Mothersbaugh. No, he's not metal, and then the joke is "ruined" but fuck you, Devo rules, and so does he.
