That peavey head might rock. I'm thinking of either selling my XXL and getting a blackstar ID core, or getting a empress heavy distortion pedal. IMO its the best sounding distortion pedal made. And i've tried everything.

Just bought a Marshall Lead 12 for $100. All original, put a output jack on it, and now running it through my Avatar 1X12 with the G12H30. Great little tone monster. I would not sell my XXL, did a refurb on it for $50 and they will begin to get harder to find in good condition.

Oh, forgot to add, I recently bought a GK 250RL head. Same as the ML 250 but in head format. Love the 80's sounds.

I have the XXL combo. It was near mint when I got it, and have never had a problem with it. I have eminence V12s in it, maybe I should get some different speakers. Or a 2x12 cab with different speakers. I love Celestion v30s, maybe I'll just spend the money for them.

Man I got a Dano EQ pedal, and it turned my distortion into a fizzy mess. Guess i'll take it back tomorrow, and get a new one spot. Mine finally croaked.

Turns out the effects loop went bad. EQ works perfect in my 2nd loop.

Played a few amps this weekend, and I think i'll get a 4x12 cab and either a 6505 mini head, or that Piranha. I like the 6505 mini. I also need to try the Jet City 22 head, and Randall Diablo heads. Anything new for you guys?

Had the chance to run my 300 watt randall rg3003h yesterday, full tilt. Fuckin insanely loud, but good loud! It's no wonder Kirk from Crowbar uses these now.

I've never heard a SS amp that sounded good wide open - but then, my experience is limited to small, crap, combos.

Well... I had the channel volume at 10, with the Master control close to noon which is LOUD... Noon is getting close to about when power stage breakup appears, which sounds like shit in every high gain amp, not just solid state. Most amps don't really get louder beyond power stage clip anyways, just more compressed and saturated...not really louder.

You need to try a cranked Tech 21 300 head or 120 combo. They rock at volume.

I haven't gotten to play the new Randalls yet. I need to. Doesn't that head also have a noise gate built in?

Walked into GC for a few, and they had some Zakk Wylde LPs. I didn't like em. The body felt too light, and the neck was a beast. Kinda like the Brian may sig guitars. They seems to have the SG neck heavy feel to em. Over all they were nice, just not for me.

Several shops are accepting pre-orders on Reverb. Expected release date is August 15.

I've been selling all my stuff to start over. Not sure what I'll get yet. I'm also thinking of getting an ESP LP, cause I want a thinner neck then my Strat has. What about you guys?

Been listening to that Friedman pedal on youtube, and it sounds great. I also really like the new ENGL pedals. I need to demo them all lol.
