The first 4 for me.

I Like VH I but have been burned out on all the radio overplay for many years.

VH II has the similar feel and spirit of the first one, with out the overplay

The first four albums are masterpieces of RnR. The only VanHagar shit I really like is Balance. THe first four records shit all over everything else save this last record they just did with DLR. In fact, I think A Different Kind of Truth is a better album then anything they've done with Hagar.

I would have liked to heard more stuff from the late 90's where they brought Dave back for those 2 songs they did back in 96 or 97. "Cant get this stuff no more" was one of them. I cant remember the other song's title. An album of similar stuff like those songs from that time period would have been interesting. Not necessarilly as a guitar player thing..just DLR VH as a whole band.

I think they were on a "greatest hits" compilation or something (?) It's been awhile. (?)

That's it. Hadnt heard it in ages.

Aside those songs, I liked "Humans Being" from the Twister soundtrack. my fave "Non DLR EVH tone". Nothing special about it. Just liked it.

Dave always brings out the best in EVH. Listen to the leads on this song. It's the most inventive Ed's been since.........well, since Dave left/was fired

No Up For Breakfast was done later on with Sammy back on board. Goofy song, but some cool riffage.

The other tune on the greatest hits is "Can't get this stuff no more". Badass song

edit: lol beaten to the punch, twice

If I had to choose, I'd go with DLR-era VH.

But I don't have to, so I listen to both.
