Many adult women hit the curb with the front tire of their cars and they don't care about the damage being done. -AND- they don't want to bother learning how to avoid hitting the curb.
To her horror, the man demonstrates how the curb can damage a nice, expensive high heal dress shoe (something women care deeply about).
In the final scene, the woman now understands that the tire and rim can be damaged [like the shoe] and is measuring an acceptable distance between the tire and curb. The man applauds her newly found understanding of the situation.
