that really sucks - normally truck freight is pretty safe - but as soon as you get a cross-dock in the mix - cross your fingers!!
those guys running the forklifts at those locations don't even give as much fuck as UPS OR FedEx warehouse guys.

This crate was transferred to about 5 or 6 different shipping companies before it arrived.
Anyone of them or, a combination of them, could have contributed to the damage.
The builder will have to take it up with the first shipper, Roadrunner.

I've witnessed fork lift operators in action... they love smashing things up.
A buddy worked for UPS at a transfer warehouse; when he saw boxes from his old employer, he used to totally fuck them up... he eventually got caught on camera and fired.

We ship store fixtures every day - our claims are limited to the 'cost' of the freight, not the sell price.
Of course, him being a small builder - he may be able to 'fudge' the numbers, and get a bit more back.

The builder asked me to check all the pieces.
The only pieces that made it through alive, were the back panel and the keyboard shelf.

Looks like I won't be able to enter the Best Home Studio/Recording Rig this year. I can't unbox my DAW/iMac/Monitors until the I get the desk set up.
