Oh, I know that, but C# is in 6 major scales, while Db is only in 4 - it's not as commonplace.

The guitarist in the band, that I sit in on bass, never refers to notes as being sharp, only flat.
I only refer to notes as only being sharp. So, when he's showing me one of their songs, he will say, "It starts on G, goes to Bb then A. I have to think about where Bb is on the neck!
