This reminds me. My wife reads romance novels (I know, but bear with me). She said in one of them one of the girls is talking about how sometimes a gal just needs a good shaking after some dude grabbed her by the shoulders and started tossing her around. It was, of course, written by a man.

But now in our house if she gets lippy with me I'll pop off, "Looks like you're feeling like you need a good shaking." Sometimes she laughs. Sometimes it just makes her so mad she stops talking. Win-win.

I totally agree with clipless... it depends on who the victim is... if the victim is a man, there is a better chance getting a laugh out of a woman.

My wife would probably laugh if I showed it to her. She loves unintentional violence no matter the circumstances. I know one of the first times we made out she accidentally elbowed me so hard in the chin it almost knocked me out and then she couldn't stop laughing for about a half hour.

Then there was the time I accidentally smacked her with a cabinet door while putting dishes away. As she fell to the floor she started cracking up and by the time I was helping her up she was laughing so hard it was hard to hold onto her.

This explains how women think. It was making the rounds a few years ago so, you may have seen it....
