I only have trouble falling asleep once in a while. Usually, I get up and take a shot of rum or scotch and that does the trick.

I found that 1/2 a Unisom pill is very effective at stopping the racing thoughts. With Unison, I'm out like a light within 40 minutes.
The only drawback is that, it makes you a bit groggy the next day. If I take a whole pill, I'm a total vegetable - never take a whole Unisom!
