I did see them at one of those BS Taste of the Suburbs "fests" fml

The only positive thing I can say about the B-52s is that Kate Pierson was kind of hot in that "Shiny Happy People" video.

To be fair, I have seen bands that I do enjoy being booked at less than desirable venues. Hell, there's some late '90s live footage of King's X playing at a water slide park.

Plus they're still better than Ozzy

If you take dave seriously, he will mos def piss you off. However, I dont like the praise and worship stuff. I play at church occasionally, but I am a Unitarian Universalist, so it doesn't count.

I went a lil heavy in on Dolf about that stuff. Felt a lil bad about it.

Do those gigs pay at all? If you don't mind the message (not that you should or shouldn't); the audience is HUGE in some cases.

I spent too much of my youth listening to Slayer and Venom to pull off that type of gig

From time to time I attend a trans-denominational church/spiritual center. They have some seriously talented musical acts perform, and it's not what you would necessarily think. It's all positive message spiritual stuff but it's not about the Jesus, necessarily. It can be, but it can also be about Buddha or the Tao. Anyway, it's the only "P&W" music I've ever genuinely liked.

But my church isn't a typical church by any stretch of the imagination. The reverend Michael Beckwith was somewhat made known on a large scale because he is in that one movie The Secret.

I know some bigger churches pay musicians. I've never done it for money, and I dont ever plan on attending a Christian church again.

We covered Rare Earths "celebrate" and some other stuff I cant remember. I did a solo acoustic version of "I shall be released" once also.
