What can I even do with these? I got them with a Mackie VLZ1202 with a patchbay that I have no need for. What can I do with them? I don't think I can use them with pedals. If someone is willing to pay for shipping, I can send them your way. I'm not utilizing a patchbay anywhere to use these.

TRS cables will work for syncing tap tempo pedals, or connecting rack units.
Re: Have a pile of stereo patch cables just sitting. What to
TRS cables always come in handy in studio applications..... good thing is most of those cables could be redone in to longer patches if you're handy with a soldering iron

Thanks guys! Luckily, I'm pretty handy with soldering. I'll throw around the idea of keeping them around. They feel really solid for custom cables, that's for sure.
Appreciate it!

TRS works fine in place of TS regular cables - for pedals or whatever.

it depends, if the pedal has a switch in the input jack that turns the pedal off when no cable is pluggedin, the TRS plug will short the switch and the pedal won't work. All Boss pedals are like that.
If the pedal turns on even without a cable plugged in the input jack, TRS is fine.

Re: Have a pile of stereo patch cables just sitting. What to
Actually, the other way around - a TRS cable will NOT short the circuit - so the pedal will not turn on. The ring and the sleeve have to be connected to provide power for the pedal.
