I used to be a member here many moons ago, but an illness kept me away from music. By the time I returned, I had a new ISP, new email and I guess my account is gone. But since I was never a very active user, mostly I read thread that interested me, creating a new account seemed easier.
So, good to be back.
And, just in case my posts are limited, one of the reasons I am joining again is because my Peavy Backstage 110, the only Guitar Amp that survived my illness, displacement and even a burglary that deprived me of most of my guitars (the good ones at least, they left the crappy ones behind) has started buzzing like crazy. I am going to add the video link here and try to post in the amp forum but at least this way those interested in lending a hand can see the video:

This amp was dead as a doornail for many years. It would not turn on. Before taking it apart I decided to check those thing I could access from the outside. I cleaned it, dusted it, tried to get the cat piss out using chemicals (It was only on the lower front screen and it stunk).
Then I tried with a new power cable and it turned on. It even worked for about a year, although, I wasn't in the mood to play.
The recently it started buzzing as it shows in the video and I am at a loss.
It's not interference from a specific outlet, I tried every one in the house, I also have a smaller amp that does not buzz, at least not at this level.
The iPhone microphone normalizes sound a bit, but trust me when I say it is hard to speak over it, it's so loud.
Anyway, I am going to try posting in the Amp sub-forum. Sometimes new users are limited to a post when they first join, so I wanted to make sure my amp's story was somewhere.
Thank you and its good to be back.
It's good to be back.
