I haven't been super happy with my Steinberg UR22 audio interface and yesterday it started cutting out randomly so I decided to buy a new one since I'm in the middle of recording the new album and don't have the time or patience to troubleshoot this bullshit.
After reading reviews etc I decided on an Audient ID14. Seems like the sound quality is quite good and almost universally praised on reviews and I don't need more than 2 simultaneous inputs since I don't record live drums.
Should be here tomorrow. Very excited to try it out!!!

By all accounts a top shelf unit, looking forward to your review.

Nice dude. I almost went that way a few months ago but wanted something with a midi in/out for vdrums n stuff. I hear they are solid for Windows.

Just got it. Wow this thing sounds good. I knew it would be better than the Steinberg but I wasn't expecting that much of a difference. A lot more clarity, punch, volume you name. Looking forward to recording with it tonight, but I am already beyond impressed with the playback audio quality alone.

Re: Incoming NAID
I've had a ID22 for a few years now. It was definitely a huge step up. My only concern is that the plastic shaft on the volume knob has gotten wobbly. So go easy on it(I have). But yeah, it's a great sounding piece. Also, really pushing the pre's on mine makes for a sweet kind of vanilla sound. Not plain, just smooth and silky.
