Hello from Hong Kong!

Post by Jtupps »

Good day guys/girls!

My name is Josh, I'm originally from the UK but moved to Hong Kong a few years ago for work, and ended up staying here! Im 26 years old, I used to play in a few bands during my late teens, mostly heavier music, so my amp selection in those days was biased towards high end gain and I honestly didn't care about clean sounds. Now I'm a (little) older, my music tastes have mellowed out, and I'm looking for advise on what amps I should be buying!

I'm looking forward to getting involved in the conversations and learning!

Welcome to the fold brother!
This is the best guitar/amp forum on the interwebznet!!!

What's your budget?
The Peavey Bandit is a low price, quality amp that is a popular recommendation here at GAB. It covers a lot of tone ground.

I love the Bandit.

What type of tones do you like? Are you looking for a combo or a big stack and what is the budget range?

Cool - welcome ! I was lucky to visit HK a few years ago and had a great time there (would love to go back). Tell us about the music scene there. Is there any opportunity to play out on the Kowloon side or are all the gigs in Lan Kwai Fong ?
