New guy with too many amps.

Post by rottingcorpse »

maybe one day I will thin the herd.

I seriously doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Is it bad when you keep two of your favorite brands in case one breaks?

Is it bad when you have every model ever built of your favorite brand?

Is it bad if there are so many you keep most of them at several friends houses in case there is a fire or break-in? I'd hate to loose them all in one fell swoop....

Is it bad if you rarely see anything at a music store or in a catalog that you are dying to try out?

Yeah....I think it's outta hand. Maybe i should thin the heard.

sounds perfectly logical to me - although I think we need pics, or at least a full list to really form an opinion.

If your favorite brand is Gorilla - then yes, you have a problem.
If your favorite brand is Diezel - then - so jelly.......

I am bad about pics. No smart phone(I am old). Computer illiterate too,so I have to send crappy cell pics to my bros and ask them to load them into my photobucket. Let me see what's over there now....

A third warhead stack with matching X2 head has been added since then.
Image

From 2009. Quite a few added since then. The 6505 is an FJA modded monster.
Image

No pics of....
Diezel Herbert and Dmoll
VHT ultralead and D120 with factory loop.
Marshall 2203kk, Langner 800
KSR Gemini
peters FSM
ENGL extreme aggression
DAR FBM, Forza Quattro, and Tuzzia 4 channel prototype(my favorites)
Splawn, other Randall's,other marshalls and mesa,etc....I am sure I am forgetting something.

Main speaker rig is two Cameron 4X12s with H30s on top of two ISP vector 15" 600 watt guitar subs.

Also have a couple of Marshall 4X12s and another ISP guitar sub(2x10 400 watt "mini"). And two acme B4 bass cabs.

yes,it's to the point that I can't remember what I have. Some I haven't seen or played in years. Why,you ask? Because everything else comes second to the DAR FBM.

Welcome. That's a sick collection you've got there. Interesting that you managed to procure a DAR before they shit themselves from the inside.

And speaking of rotting corpses, when the inevitable zombie apocalypse occurs, can we all congregate at your jam room to arm ourselves with pointy guitars? You've got quite the arsenal! :zomby: :shoot:

Went to school with Darrell and recorded demos at pantego sound with Vince behind the console. Copped licks, tricks and info from Darrell at his moms house on Monterey street during high school. Sometimes went out of town with them when they played Oklahoma and various towns in Texas. Yeah,he was a big influence for a while. So was Mike Scaccia from rigor mortis(later in minisrty). The guys on the couch next to me were always my biggest influences.

I got the last DAR FBM Mike made. Flew out to San Francisco to pick it up. That was a great experience. Added the Tuzzia and forza to complete the collection. The FBM is far and away the best amp for tight aggressive metal ever made, and is my most prized possession. No other amp comes close. Truly an animal all its own with its own sound and feel. Over 3 years later and countless other amps added to the collection and nothing has bested it yet.

Killer set up. You need a Kemper to profile all those!

I think someone does. If so,I will forward it to Steinmetzifys phone and get him to post it. I stopped doing glamour shots a long time ago.

Sending him a pic of the FBM and forza now. Probably a bad one since my phone is crappy.
