Maybe if I'm real lucky someone worth seeing will hit Sioux Falls this year. Maybe.

Yeah. I have to drive 2 hours to Nashville, 3 hours to STL, 3 hours to Memphis, or 4 hours to Louisville if I want to see anything decent.

There's a new music venue thats opening up in town. Hopefully, they'll get some decent acts. The only stuff that comes here now, is old folks stuff, or "has been" bands that only have 1 or 2 original members, or family oriented stuff, or "tribute" bands. (Though I would have liked to went to see The Blue Man Group when they were here)

I just saw The Who last week, was actually a pretty good show
next month I'm seeing Muse, while I don't care for their new album, they always put on a great show.

Cannibal Corpse/Napalm Death/Immolation tour is going to be badass. Three of the most consistent extreme bands in one package.

Also, I hope Carcass tours the U.S. again after their reunion album drops. I am happy as Satan that Bill Steer is bringing the Dr. Claw vocals back too! :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

I've got tickets to see Sigur Ros in like 2 weeks... excited.

Justin Townes Earle and Neko Case will be rolling through in July so will probably check that show out.

May also trek to Montreal to see Black Tusk and Cannibal Corpse (not at the same time lol)

I was at the Cannibal Corpse gig two days ago. Always fun. Followed by Riverside and Jolly this Saturday for the complete opposite.

Saw Muse last night. Floor/GA standing "seats". Fucking spectacular, as always. I way preferred this setlist to 2009 though when I saw them on The Resistance tour. Way more upbeat the whole way through. Sound was impeccable as it always is for them. I took my drumtard and he was like "Got DAMM those drums sound good! You can almost hear the plastic tips of the drumsticks hitting the cymbals n shiz" which you could. Matt is probably the most talented man alive right now. I love his new Manson 7 string too. Thing sounds badass. If ur on my FB, I posted some pics and vids.

Muse would be freaking amazing to see live. I need to get more of their albums.

Malmsteen in April. Sadly, that's the same day as Steven Wilson and Death To All here. But I have to get seeing Malmsteen out of the way, and that's the lady's choice out of the three (I was at a deadlock before her vote. And I found out afterward that my friend's band is opening, so that sealed the deal.)

I saw Doug Stanhope last night. Pretty funny guy. Not my favorite, but pretty good.

Contemplating going to see Soulfly soon. Not really a huge fan or anything, but there aren't many shows around these parts, and one of my friend's bands is opening for them.

Down is also playing at some point...I think in May.

I hope to see Steven Wilson w/ Guthrie Govan in Tampa on April 14. That's on the opposite coast of FL from me and I work that day. I can do it if they'll let me off two hours early.Image
