The Rolling Stones
What are your thoughts on them?
I've just not really dug 'em. I'm giving them another shot with this discography I obtained.
So far, Beggars Banquet has sparked my interest.
Let's hear it folks!

I love the Stones. Anything from Tattoo You, on back. Dont care much for the later stuff, but it's OK.
Anyone who doesnt like The Stones throats fecal encrusted prison dong.

Think I'll jam "Monkey Man" on my way home from work.

Told you this on fackbook, but Exile on Main Street, Let it Bleed, Beggars Banquet and Sticky Fingers are all really good. I'm sure there are some other albums of theirs that I'd like, but those are the ones I'm familiar with enough to recommend.

Finally got to hear Monkey Man as recommended by my friend on that same thread Brophus. Let It Bleed has been sounding good too!

The prog stuff and now the Stones. It's cool to see someone exploring some new music, mayne. There are a lot of people who just won't do that. They just won't venture out of their comfort zone for whatever reason. Mad props, bro.

Thanks! I have the luxury of playing music I like because it's MY store. Luckily, my customers LOVE what I'm playing because they hate modern radio these days.
And for ME, they just don't make music like they used to, so I've been on a mission to hear the classics I shunned as a young n00b.

I have heard that opening for them sucks, since they have all these rules.

I wouldn't call myself a MASSIVE Fan but I do like them. It's undeniable they have written some of the catchiest tunes in Rock 'N Roll
Re: The Rolling Stones

Re: The Rolling Stones
Chie - you're starting in the right spot with the Stones - the Mick Taylor era was great. He and Keef were a great team.
Skip the stuff you hear on the radio all the time and go for the deeper cuts like you did with "Monkey Man."
From Sticky Fingers, there's "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'," "Dead Flowers" and "Moonlight Mile."
Exile on Main Street is loaded - "Rocks Off," "On Down the Line," "Sweet Virginia," "Happy"
Goat's Head Soup has "Star Star" and "Silver Train."
Happy listening!

Thanks Doug! I'm listening to Tattoo You onwards. They had more albums than The Beatles, so I'm just continuing on listening to my Stones playlist.
Re: The Rolling Stones
If you can find it, check out The Stones's Altamont concert. They didnt get to play much, but a very interesting look into what happened that day.
Footage of Grace Slick (SUPER fapalicious back then) w Jeferson Aiplane is cool too, cause you get to check out Grace in some tight pants :butt:
Goddamn, that woman was sexy, in her day.

This. I agree. These are my favorites too. I also like Some Girls, that summer was a great summer for me and Miss You really reminds me of it every time I hear it.
I think 100 Watt said from Tattoo You forward, I strongly agree with that also. Everything after is hit or miss for me.
