Those things are loud as hell lol. They sound good, but more volume then I need. Have you guys heard the Rocktron widowmaker preamp yet? Sounds pretty good from the vids. I'm still thinking about the AMT D2. but I like the clips of the Egnater Black Metal, and the greenhouse no brainer. It sucks no stores around have them. Then I could do a shootout. So what are you guys looking at?

Thats cool. I use to play them at Samash. I was gonna buy one at one time, but made the mistake of getting a Warhead instead.

I've always wanted a Randall V2. They are badass amps! Randall along with Ampeg make the best SS amps IMO... amps that rival other brands tube amps at the time (mid to late 80's). But, I wish they would go back to making amps like they did in the 80's, they had some really good circuits back then, amps that just roared in band situations or in the studio. The RG's and Century's were great amplifiers... then in the mid 90's their quality went downhill big time.

I want either an AMT B2 or D2. I just don't wanna pay 170 bucks. Be nice if I could demo them first.

I bought a warhead second hand about 5 years ago. I love Randall's but that has to be one of the worst amps they've ever made, even Dimebag was not happy with it (he only used it for cleans, apparently)...But the latest version they made, the X2, is supposed to be WAY better.

Exactly, they were a different company when they were bought out. Their old Irvine California made amps sound great, but after that... not so good.

The X2 sounded great. I've tried to find a used one, but it seems rare.

Pretty sure the T2 and Warhead X2 have similar preamps.

Ya, the X2 is VERY rare. Dime signed on with Krank not too long after they were first released, so they were discontinued soon after. It's too bad, cause Randall supposedly really hit the mark with that one. I would love to own one some day.
