Unless you count The Butthole Surfers as punk.

^Black Flag is amazing. Annihlate this Week is great tune as well. A bit metal (if you are a purist), but raw and rocking nonetheless. Dead Kennedys are excellent as well.

No problem, I was waiting for answers like that.
Punk pop rock whatever is not my main source of inspiration, it's just that I find it refreshing between my elaborate likings (prog etc).
I was supportive to rampage too, that posted blink and sum, I thought he was going to be eviscerated.
I totally understand your point of view, in the vast world of rock, I put californian modern punk rock as punk music, because for me punk isn't just grungy people with used voices and songs about anarchy and drugs :)

been digging Turbonegro lately.

They're later work has morphed into more traditional rock n roll sounding, but I like it all.
