I was gonna get the Rage, but decided on the Fullbore instead. If I get back into jamming with people, and need a pedal for volume, then I'm gonna get a Mesa full Throttle. Those sound great at volume.

Won't get the new pickplate until after January. I decided to put a Duncan distortion in it. If it sound good, then i'm gonna get a new neck for it. The 24 scale with jumbo frets is real easy to play. So do you guys think anything is coming out at namm?

Quality looks top notch, but for the price it would be more reasonable to get an AMT preamp and a power amp of your choice.

You can get a Quilter SS head for $549. It's a small unit and under 10 pounds. Built in 'murka.

AMT preamps vary between $274.95 and $549.95 and you'd still need a poweramp.

The AMT stuff is excellent but I'm not understanding the more reasonable bent, economic, physical arrangement, other.

You say that like it's a bad thing but that's exactly what I'd want for a pedal platform. As for its clean tones they're pretty good for ss.

I have a truck load of drive pedals, too many to list, including, but not limited to ep booster, ac booster, bb pre, ocd, sheba, riot ...

I wasn't quite sure how the low gain 2nd channel sounds boosted (since the head is two channels), but super clean with a dirt pedal is always the way to go.

That micro head seems like the best option if you want a true two/three channel setup with a dirt pedal being the lead channel. I already have my tone from an AMT pre, but I want to try the new SL drive into that head.

Word. The SL pedal is sick (have seen too many vids, pryaxe's and kettner's being standouts), as is their new compressor. Fuck xotic and the tonal goodness anyway.

Back to the Quilter and pedals ... skip the first 2:17 and ignore the fact he's using a bit much delay to best appreciate the fuzz and overdrive samples but still sounds reasonable for pedal over ss.

The neck on this Douglas is crap, so I'm replacing it asap. The body with the Duncan sounds great, but the neck is just too "cheap".

That is seriously going to kick ass. Works with mismatched impedance cabs, scalable output, and selectable input impedance. You can plug a guitar straight into and run it perfectly clean with no breakup, unlike the EHX 44 Magnum. Perfect for dirt boxes. Also has an EQ curve so you can set it flat or cut a certain unwanted frequency and may eliminate the need for a loop EQ.

You guys ever try the Fender Mustang amps? They sound great imo. They just need to add a couple more high gain amps.

I was gonna buy some effects pedals, but I might as well just buy something like a Zoom g3. You guys ever try one? I like the 70crd, but you can cut the effects on and off with your foot on the 3. It seems simple and cheap for my needs.
