Would You Part 2.....

Post by TurboPablo »

Would you trade a Martin D15M for a Guild D25-12?

They price out almost comparably with the D15 holding a bit more value. But mine hasn't seen any action since I got the 000-18. Couple that fact with my 1952 J45 and the desire for a nice 12 string and I am leaning towards doing it. The Guild is MIA in Westerly RI. So there is a bit if a local connection. But mainly I just want a pretty 12 string.

I consider acoustic guitars to be tools.

Whichever one sounds better and looks cooler is the winner.

If you never play the Martin, go for it.

I probably would do this one, considering the acoustic guitars you already have.

With acoustics, you have go try them in person though, because it's really down to the individual guitars.

So don't do an online trade. But if it's a local deal, then it's worth a shot.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

I forgot to mention that I have a D28 not too far out on my radar. That and the Guild will round out my acoustic posse nicely.

I would

I’m not a huge D-15 fan. I’ll admit it’s entirely the aesthetic of all mahogany.
