I am a Chris Poland fan. Always. And I hope this isn't a "let's boot Kiko" move because he is spectacular in the band. But watching Marty play was seriously sending some chills. Dude is a beast \m/

Re: Megadeth with Marty
OMG. This really moves me. Marty and Dave were my heroes when I was 12-19 (along with Dimebag and Pete Steel).
Watching this was like going back in a time machine. At my age, I'm getting used to things and people of my past dying/crumbling/destroying themselves/being destroyed by progress/etc.. Everything dies.
Seeing this absolutely gave me chills. They haven't gotten haircuts. They aren't playing les pauls and fenders. Marty is still one of my favorite players ever. He instills full confidence in the listener and never plays a dull note. He is fire 100% of the time.
Dave's anti-establishment theme + dual guitar harmony strategy is just as cool as it was in 1990. Fuck, I wish people didn't feel compelled to compare him to Metallica, but I guess he brought it on himself by being a dick. LOL. Maybe, that's one reason he has remained famous, along with being immensely talented himself. His playing is still solid too.
AWESOME. Thank you for posting this. This made me feel really good.

I didn't expect to be as moved as I was. Especially given the songs they had him play. Tornado of Souls, though; is a powerful drug

I agree with both of you guys 100%. I've been watching this vid at least 10x a day since it was posted. This may sound corny as hell, but this vid hit hard in a good and hopeful way. It makes me extremely happy each time I watch it.

Marty and Mave were the best version of Megadeth. Their styles were made to play together.

100%
Also, I have always loved Ellefson's playing but Lomenzo sounds fucking HUGE in that video.
Re: Megadeth with Marty
Was anyone else surprised to see Marty up there with a Kelly? I honestly thought he'd be playing his signature LP looking model.

Re: Megadeth with Marty
I think that the current lineup with Kiko was the first time fans truly accepted a lineup after Marty and Nick left and it's a bad idea to disrupt that newfound stability. But yes, it was cool to see him playing live.

Agreed. Marty and Kiko were both super classy in the footage but given Dave is, well; Dave...it could certainly be perceived in a way that maybe he wasn't intending.
