EXTOL, new song, new album, documentary

Post by hardvalve »

Still my favorite band of all time, even if I am not a fan of everything they have done. Undeceived is still my favorite album, and have influenced a LOT of bands. Glad to see them back and making their unique brand of metal again. The most excited about a musical endeavor in a long time.

CSB.

I try to keep an open mind on things, but . . . well, that's pretty terrible. I just can't reconcile the deathish metal mixed with ELO thing they've got going on.

Clean vox reminds me of Yes. Which is a good thing.

I agree the new stuff has moments of Yes vocals, my thoughts the first time I heard it. Every album they do is different.

Old stuff. Check out these clean vocals. Insane. A masterpiece.

I dig it a bit. Clean vox on this one have a Brandon Boyd thing going on.

Not too big on the vocals, but that was pretty badass. :rawk:

I like Extol.

Always have.

But I cannot love them. They're too heavy and not heavy enough, and I get confused. So I can't love them, but at the same time, that's why I like them.

I picture Loop listening to this and scolding himself repeatedly after that post. Like one second going, "GAWD I LOVE THIS," and the next going, "WTF IS WRONG WITH ME?"

Yeah, its going to take me a bit to get used to the cleans on this new one, but holy crap am I excited they're putting out new music.

I love Undecieved and Burial. Blueprint Dives wasn't my cup of tea but those dudes have some serious talent.

Also, Loop, you might have issues man... ;)

Agreed, Blueprint was not my favorite. Loop, you just need to listen to their first 2 albums more.
