If I had the funds, I'd grab a Stonehead. Absolutely.

I was gonna get the stonehead, but they just had green left lol. I wanted black. Samash should have the new Randalls soon, so I can go there and demo them. Sucks them and GC don't have AMT stuff to try. I always hate buying stuff unplayed. I would also like to try the Randall RG preamp, and ISP Theta pre.

Hmmm..........green Stonehead or black Stonehead.........if it sounded good enough in person I don't think I woulda cared if it was polka-dots, I can always repaint the chassis....lol! But that's just me.

It changes through my little Tubecake 1.5 watt, but that amp is very colorful and adds some interesting harmonics and overtones at higher volumes, so I don't think it has anything to do with the P1 itself.
I will disagree a little with what Raf and you say about the tone being consistent with the P1 at all levels.
I've found that anywhere from when you start getting volume out of the P1 right up until 12:30 o' clock on the Level pot, it sounds consistent, BUT, anywhere after that point, the P1 starts sounding less compressed and less buzzy in the highs and a little bit smoother with definitely more grunt in the lower mids.
With that being said, I definitely use it on very high volumes as my Level is set currently at 3 o' clock and I use a Peavey Firebass amp as my power amp, which produces 700 watts at 2 ohms and I run it very close to that load, 2.66 ohms to be exact. So, I'm pretty sure that it's a very different sound than one would produce at bedroom levels.
The new Blackstar and Vox distortion pedals don't sound bad. The new tight metal looks great, but its like $300. Either its super hot, or raining here. So I haven't been to any music stores lately.

I always wanted to try it and the nitro hemi. Whats the EQ like?
Seems like they don't offer a guide on their site for that.
They have solid mids without losing the low end. It's actually two mismatched coils. One keeps the mids tight and adds a slight bass boost, the other is to retain top end clarity.
I've seen that Marshall head, but never played one. I still love the fullbore guys. Its thick and full, and the mids really change the sound. maybe its just good with this amp. Shask would love the bass on it. It thumps. I think i'm going to get a pedal tuner, and this new Zoom next. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MS70CDR

The Lead100 is not a hi-gain amp by any means but it has a decent crunch and its freekin LOUD. Whats the deal with ebay selling sig Hetfield snakebites with a fullbore included? Is he supposed to be using that pedal now?
