Cynic posted what appears to be album artwork titled "Ascension Codes" with a caption that read "Tomorrow..."

Can't find any other info online. Kinda surprised considering both Seans have passed.... I'm hoping there was a bunch of unreleased material on a hard drive somewhere with the three of them. I love Paul but I think it might be in poor taste to release a solo album under that name

He's been posting studio stuff on Instagram for a while. I didn't think they'd continue after Malone and Reinert weren't around. Traced In Air is a perfect album and they'd done a lot of interesting stuff since, but that's a benchmark for me. I'm curious to see what it's like, expecially since he's had a Masvidal side project for the last couple years.

Every Cynic album is like a uniquely beautiful gem. I love them all. Not sure about a new album unless it is based around unreleased material with all original members.

What happened to their production starting the KBTFU? This new song has that kind of muffled overall production that that whole album had

I think the vocals are a bit buried, but the music is great. I really like it. It gives me some of those intensity chills like TIA and the sampling in and out make it sound continuous with the previous and subsequent tracks. I'm willing to bet the mix will be improved when it hits Tidal and other streaming services. YT is always a bit of a quality suck.

It's a good one. It's got some of the Traced in Air vibes where it's got lots of elevated atmosphere.

I heard TIA before Focus and I find Focus hard to listen to, TBH and it seems like most people's preferred album.
