Played a good gig last Saturday

Post by ajaxlepinski »

Played Irving Plaza in NYC this past Saturday, August 14th.
My band played there 35 years ago... which proves that if you work hard and try your best, you can wind up in the same place!

The venue had been rebuilt and supplied with all new gear, a digital board, new monitors and not a speck of dust anywhere! We gave the front-of-house and light man a nice tip.
The dressing rooms had brand spanking new furniture, showers and didn't smell like beer!!! We were kind and left our dressing room as we found it.

Our singer jumped into the pit for a song.... being an old man, he needed a hand getting back on stage.... wish I had a pic of that!!!

Our singer jumped into the pit for one song. He's old, like me, so he needed a hand getting back up on the stage. I wish I had a pic of that!!!

My 1980's Randall RG80 kicked all kinds of ass!!!

That looks like a hell of a nice stage setup. Must be nice to play somewhere that isn't already tainted by the stains of rock. Can't remember ever having that happen outside of the time we played the high school auditorium.

Never played a venue that didn't smell like stale beer and vomit... with the exception of a park!

That sessy hat cost $3.00 at the local party store.

Another favorite gig t-shirt is from a FaceBook group, "Punk's Not Dead But I'm Not Far Off"
